What is the STSL?
The STSL is a summer swim league formed to promote the sport of competitive swimming within St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The main goals of the STSL are to provide young athletes with the opportunity to excel in the sport of swimming, and to promote fun and good sportsmanship through family interaction and friendly competition.
The league is presently organized in eight teams based at neighborhood pools and athletic clubs in the vicinity of Slidell, LA.
Member teams accept swimmers up through 18 years old.
Promoting swimming in St. Tammany Parish
The STSL and the member teams are managed by volunteers. The most effective way to assist the STSL in its mission is to work to make one of the local member teams the best it can be. Please consider volunteering your time to your team. Teams select volunteers to represent them on the STSL board.
Member teams solicit local businesses and individuals to purchase advertising space in the "heat sheets" that are distributed at STSL league championship meets. This can be a very cost-effective advertisement, as the heat sheets are typically read cover-to-cover by families attending the meets.
If you or your business would like to donate services, please contact the league or one of the member teams with your offer. Most teams are run on careful budgets, and donations are often welcome.
